XI. [Video + Action for Goldenrod City.]
[All that Gorthan's feed shows today is this.

Fizzling blue noise and the Rotom that was formerly GLaDOS'. The voice coming from the Gear, however, is unmistakably Gorthan's. Dark, deep, pensive... and with the slightest hint of irritation.]
The songbird has flown back into her cage. A completely foreseeable outcome.
I understand that you miss her, and trust me, I feel the same way. I also understand that getting you to like me as much as you liked her will be no easy feat. But how are we supposed to get to know each other if you won't get out of there?
[The Rotom doesn't seem to be paying any attention whatsoever. It's just floating around the screen, smiling mischievously and making the blue noise fizzle some more.]
... You are broadcasting this, aren't you.
[Rotom's mischievous grin remains unchanged as it nods.
Guess whose PokéGear just got possessed by an electric ghost.
As for Gorthan himself, he's in his room at the Rocket HQ in Goldenrod, staring at the Pokémon currently in his device and wondering if the best way to successfully get it to come out is to just ignore it for a while.]

Soon enough, Rotom is floating in the top portion of the screen, while the blue noise in the bottom part fizzles and shifts and moves to spell out a sentence in capital letters.]
[This just may have gotten a little more confusing, but Gorthan thinks he sees where this is going now.]
Ah. I see. Trust me, I... I do understand. More than you think.
[but she still remains on the subject, speaking gently, almost motherly.]
Why do you think he doesn't understand? You must at least give Gorthan the chance to try. Otherwise, you're not helping yourself at all.
I know what it's like... to live in a body that greatly limits what you can do, and wanting more. Wanting so much more... wanting to experience color, emotion... life, and everything that makes it worth living.
[On top of the writing, all Rotom is doing is look grumpier than ever. It doesn't look like Gorthan's argument is having any effect.]
Minnie, I think... I think it just misses its former Trainer.
[Maybe we can use this angle, eh?]
Now then... I think I know. Answer me this, dear Pokemon - did you trust your former Trainer? Respect them? Understand every decision they made?
[Gorthan's comment to that comes shortly afterwards.]
I'm not surprised. She could be an intimidating presence. She possessed a charisma that fascinated me, as well...
Shouldn't you respect her decision to leave you in Gorthan's hands? That she trusted Gorthan enough to know he would be best for you? Or do you doubt her?
